Vice-President of the “International Women’s Union” Rima Safiullova represents Tatarstan and women’s entrepreneurship at the festival in Oman

These days, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman, the city of Muscat, has become a meeting place for cultures and a dialogue of peoples—the third International Unity Festival is being held here. The spotlight is on the rich heritage of Tatarstan, presented at the exhibition “From the Volga to the Gulf: The Living Art of Tatarstan.” Organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the World Congress of Tatars, this exhibition symbolically opens in the year when Kazan officially holds the title of Cultural Capital of the Islamic World. Every detail of the exposition—from elegant shamails to reconstructions of historical costumes—bears living witness to the beauty and depth of Tatar culture.

At this significant forum, the International Women’s Union was represented by our Vice-President, Rima Gu merovna, whose very person is a shining example of modern female leadership. An important highlight of the exposition were national dishes prepared from the special certified wheat variety “Rima,” presented by Safiullova Rima.

These treats symbolize not only culinary traditions but also a successful example of female entrepreneurial initiative. She appeared in three crucial roles, each complementing the others, creating a holistic image of a woman-creator:

  • As Vice-President of our organization, she represented the values of international female solidarity and public diplomacy, emphasizing the role of women in building bridges of understanding between countries and cultures.

  • As a successful woman-entrepreneur and head of the large agro-complex “Kolos,” she personified economic strength, practical wisdom, and the contribution of women to the development of the real sector of the economy and food security.

  • As the founder of the “Istoki” (Origins) Foundation, she became a guardian and conduit of authentic culinary traditions, transforming them into a modern and in-demand product.

A particular source of pride for our foundation and for the International Women’s Union was the meeting and warm reception with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Sultanate of Oman, Oleg Vladimirovich Levin, and his spouse. The opportunity to personally present not only our products but also the goals of the international women’s movement, to talk about the Union’s activities aimed at strengthening cultural ties and supporting women entrepreneurs, is a great honor and recognition at the diplomatic level. We are grateful for the interest shown and the hospitality.

We express our sincere and deep gratitude to the organizer of this cultural bridge—Danis Shakirov, Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan and First Deputy Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars. His tireless energy, dedication to the cause, and strategic vision allowed the art and spirit of Tatarstan to resonate on the shores of the Gulf of Oman, turning the exhibition into a true celebration of unity.

The participation of our Vice-President in the festival is more than just a project presentation. It is a vivid illustration of the philosophy of the International Women’s Union: we believe that the harmonious combination of leadership, entrepreneurial initiative, and careful preservation of traditions is the key to sustainable development and peace. Through authentic success stories, such as the story of Rima Gu merovna, we show the world the multifaceted strength of the woman-creator, capable of inspiring, creating value, and uniting peoples under the canopy of friendship and mutual respect.
