Regional public organization for support of women entrepreneurs of small and medium business “International Women’s Union”

International Women’s Union is a public organization uniting women entrepreneurs, leaders, and activists from Russia and foreign countries. Founded in Moscow, the organization sets ambitious goals: developing the professional, social, and cultural potential of women, strengthening international cooperation, and preserving national traditions.

Our mission is to create conditions for expanding opportunities for women in business, science, creativity, and social activities, strengthening international cooperation, and preserving cultural heritage.

The organization’s activities are built on three interconnected pillars that cover all areas significant for modern women:

  • Culture – preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, support for creative initiatives, organization of international exhibitions, festivals and competitions, strengthening interethnic dialogue through art and traditions.
  • Business – development of women’s entrepreneurship, educational programs, mentoring support, facilitating access to international markets, organization of business missions and exhibitions to showcase products and establish business contacts.
  • Public Diplomacy – strengthening international ties, development of interstate cooperation, holding forums, round tables and bilateral meetings, promoting humanitarian projects and people’s diplomacy as a tool for mutual understanding between countries.

Each of these pillars also includes education (lectures, trainings, professional development courses, language programs), medicine (projects in medical tourism, women’s health support) and other aspects useful for women: legal assistance, psychological support, social entrepreneurship, ecology, sports and healthy lifestyle.

Key Areas of Activity

👑 International Business Forum “Woman of the Third Millennium”

The forum is a key platform for exchanging experience, finding new partners and discussing the role of women in the modern world.

  • 4 forums held (2021, 2023, 2024, 2025) with over 1,000 delegates from 40+ countries, including China, Brazil, Qatar, Burundi, Iran, Pakistan, Ecuador, Mongolia, Libya and others.
  • Cooperation agreements signed with women’s organizations from Russia, LNR, Donbass, Hungary, Armenia and other regions.
  • The forum is supported by the Moscow Government, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Federation Council.
  • Leading venues: VDNKh, Moscow House of Nationalities, Cultural Center of the Main Department for Servicing the Diplomatic Corps under the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • November 18-19, 2026 – holding of the V International Forum “Woman of the Third Millennium” at the Cultural Center of the Main Department for Servicing the Diplomatic Corps under the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

📸 International Photo Contest “Mother and Children in National Costumes”

The project aims to preserve cultural heritage and strengthen family values.

  • 6 contests held (2019–2025) with over 20,000 applications from 89 regions of the Russian Federation and 100+ nationalities.
  • In 2022, included in the Action Plan of the Year of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia.
  • Exhibition of works took place at the UN (Vienna, 2024).
  • Exhibition in more than 45 diplomatic missions of the Russian Federation abroad (2024).
  • 2024-2025 – under the auspices of the Russian Commission for UNESCO with the support of the Federal Agency for Nationalities (FADN of Russia).
  • 7th season – 2026. Applications accepted until September 25, 2026.

🌾 International Photo Contest “Woman Farmer: Faces of the Earth”

Launched in 2026 – the International Year of Women Farmers (UN).

  • With technical assistance from the FAO Office for Communication with the Russian Federation and support from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
  • Goal: to show the role of women in the agricultural sector.
  • Applications accepted until September 25, 2026.

🧵 International Festival of Folk Arts and Crafts “By the Hands of a Woman”

The festival supports masters of decorative and applied arts and folk crafts.

  • 10 events held (2014–2024), including exhibitions in Moscow, St. Petersburg (1st Eurasian Women’s Forum), Kazan, Strasbourg (France, Palace of Congresses), Bari (Italy, Christmas fair).
  • Participation of women from correctional institutions (with the support of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia).
  • The project was implemented using a grant from the President of the Russian Federation.
  • In 2022, the festival entered the TOP-180 events of the Year of Cultural Heritage.
  • Participation of over 5,000 masters from 45+ regions of Russia and 35+ foreign countries.
  • Information coverage: 89 regions of the Russian Federation, 35+ foreign countries, over 1,117 cities.
  • November 18-19, 2025 – exhibition-fair “By the Hands of a Woman” was held at the Cultural Center of the Main Department for Servicing the Diplomatic Corps under the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • In 2026 – V exhibition-fair “By the Hands of a Woman” at the Cultural Center of the Main Department for Servicing the Diplomatic Corps under the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

🎤 International Discussion Club “VISION 3000”

Founded in 2021 to develop international dialogue in the fields of economics, culture and science. A platform for discussing current issues in economics, culture and ecology.

  • 40 meetings held with the participation of 380+ experts, including government representatives, diplomats and business leaders.
  • Supported by the Department of National Policy of Moscow.
  • Monthly meetings at venues:
  1. Moscow House of Nationalities
  2. Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation
  3. Republic of Dagestan (with the support of the Ministry of National Policy and Religious Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan)
  4. Voronezh (with the support of the Government of the Voronezh Region, the regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, co-organized by the “Council of Women” led by Margarita Maslennikova).

🏆 International Prize “Woman of the Third Millennium”

Annual award for women for outstanding achievements in business, culture, social activities, medicine, media, agriculture and other fields.

  • Years of the prize: 2023, 2024, 2025 (three ceremonies).
  • Participating countries: Russia, India, Brazil and others; further expansion expected in 2026.
  • Number of winners: over 30 (in 2024 – about 15, in 2025 – 13, plus laureates from 2023).
  • Number of nominations: 12–14 annually (including “Leader of the Year”, “Best Achievements in Culture and Art”, “Best Public Initiative”, “Best Entrepreneur of the Year”, “Mentorship”, “Best Designer of the Year”, “Achievements in Medicine”, “Digitalization”, “Media Space”, “Golden Fund of the Agricultural Sector”, “Tourism and Hospitality”, “Keeper of Heritage”, “Breakthrough of the Year”, “Bridge of Cultures”, and others).

Official collaborator of the Association of Organisations of Mediterranean Businesswomen (AFAEMME)

Location of the permanent governing body of the Organization (Council) – the Russian Federation, Moscow.

The organization’s activities are based on the principles of voluntariness, equality, self-government and the rule of law.

Main objective:

  • Association of women entrepreneurs of small and medium-sized businesses, aimed at the development of their professional, social and cultural level, as well as to represent and protect common interests.

 Goal:

  • promotion of comfortable conditions for the Association of women entrepreneurs, creation of a platform for communication, exchange of experience, discussion of various business ideas and projects, expansion of business ties;
  • provision of information support, including support in the promotion of goods and services produced by the members of the Organization to the markets, including regional and international;
  • providing consulting and legal support to members of the Organization;
  • assistance in providing women entrepreneurs with modern equipment and technologies, creation of production and technological centers and various business infrastructure facilities;
  • assistance in obtaining financial support for the development of small and medium-sized businesses;
  • assistance in training, retraining and advanced training of members of the Organization;
  • development of women’s entrepreneurial literacy and competence;
  • popularization and promotion of entrepreneurship, formation of a positive image of Russian women entrepreneurs;
  • representation and protection of rights, as well as common, including professional, interests of members of the Organization, as well as coordination of their activities.
