At the invitation of the Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights in Moscow, the International Women’s Union took part in a key meeting of the Public Council. The event, dedicated to summarizing the results of the year and discussing strategic initiatives, has become an important platform for dialogue between the government, the business community and public organizations.

The meeting, moderated by the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs in Moscow Tatiana Sizova and Sergey Kolesnikov, Chairman of the Public Council and Managing Partner of Technonicol, opened with a welcoming speech from Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, addressed to all participants. During the event, the fruitful work of experts and public representatives who made a significant contribution to the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the capital was noted.

The Council members discussed in detail the results of the work and key legislative initiatives developed and advanced by experts in 2025. Significant results of the joint work include business support measures, including tax breaks for IT companies and catering companies, updating the rules for confirming the origin of goods, as well as expanding the list of expenses under the simplified taxation system. All these measures are aimed at creating more comfortable conditions for millions of entrepreneurs in the capital.
Special attention was paid to the development of the “Moscow is a city for business and investment” format. The participants emphasized the effectiveness of the joint work of the city authorities and the business community in this area. In addition, the important role of professional legal support (Pro Bono) and intellectual volunteering programs for entrepreneurs was noted.
During the discussion, representatives of various industries, including the restaurant business, digital technologies, engineering and beauty industry, shared their experiences and made suggestions for further improving the business climate. In particular, the initiative to strengthen the protection of fair business and launch special projects against unfair competition was supported.
Participation in the work of the Public Council was of great practical value for our Union. It was a unique opportunity not only to broadcast the interests of women entrepreneurs, but also to get first-hand relevant information about support measures, legislative initiatives and business climate trends. A direct dialogue with key speakers and experts allowed us to discuss pressing issues and share experiences. We are convinced that it is through such open, substantive interaction between public institutions, the business community and the government that a favorable environment for development is created, which is especially needed by small and medium-sized businesses, including women’s ones.

Participation in the work of the Public Council for our Union is an opportunity to directly broadcast the interests and initiatives of women entrepreneurs, who are an integral part of small and medium—sized businesses in Moscow. We are convinced that only through open dialogue and constructive cooperation between public institutions, the business community and the government can a truly favorable environment for the development of entrepreneurship be created.

The meeting was a landmark event, confirming the progressive development of this dialogue and the commitment to further joint work for the benefit of the economy of the capital and the country.
