This significant holiday, which dates back to the heroic events of 1612, when the people’s militia led by Kuzma Minin and Prince Dmitry Pozharsky united to liberate the Fatherland, serves as an eternal reminder to us: the strength of Russia lies in the unity of its multinational people.
In the modern geopolitical reality, this holiday is gaining special significance. As it was four centuries ago, it is solidarity, mutual understanding and respect for the cultures of all the peoples of Russia that are the key to our stability and sovereignty.
Our annual international photo contest “Mom and Children in national costumes” has a special symbolic connection with the idea of the holiday. This project, like National Unity Day, is aimed at strengthening mutual understanding between the peoples of Russia, preserving unique cultural traditions and demonstrating the beauty of our country’s national diversity. Through the image of motherhood and childhood, dressed in traditional costumes, we see a living connection between generations and unity in diversity.
On this festive day, we wish all Russians peace, kindness and prosperity. May the spirit of unity and patriotism, laid down by our ancestors, continue to serve as a reliable support for the entire multinational people of great Russia!
