This resolution reflects the consolidated position of the Conference participants and is aimed at implementing initiatives that contribute to the preservation and actualization of Moscow’s cultural heritage.
I. Urban studies as a tool for shaping the cultural code
Based on a report by A.V. Solonkin, (Advisor to the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Chairman of the Expert Council on Youth Policy, Culture, Education and Child Safety of the State Duma of the Russian Federation), presented urban studies as a key tool for shaping Moscow’s cultural identity. In his report, he highlighted the following points:
Urbanism as the basis of the capital’s image
Moscow is transforming into a multifunctional metropolis, where convenience, aesthetics and sustainable development are becoming priorities. Examples:
Renovation of industrial zones (ZIL → ZILART, Bakery No. 9 → creative cluster).
Creation of cultural hubs based on historical sites (HPP-2 → Center for Contemporary Art).
New formats of urban spaces
Shopping malls are turning into centers of life: Atrium, Aviapark combine shopping, art and coworking spaces.
Food courts (Depot, Danilovsky Market) are points of attraction for gastronomy and communication.
Street art (graffiti on Arbat, festivals at VDNKh) forms the visual language of the city.
Transport and infrastructure
Expansion of pedestrian zones (Nikolskaya, Kuznetsky Bridge), development of the MCC and bike paths.
Parks as symbols of the synthesis of nature and technology
Zaryadye, VDNKh and Gorky Park combine history, ecology and modern design.
The global context
Successful cases abroad (The High Line in New York, Superkilen in Copenhagen) inspire Moscow projects.
The main conclusion is that
Moscow strives to become a “city for people,” where traditions and innovations create a comfortable environment for life, work and creativity. Urban transformations strengthen its image as a dynamic metropolis, open to dialogue between cultures and generations.
Quote:
“Modern urbanism is not concrete and glass, but the language that the city speaks to its residents.: “You’re important. Your opinion, comfort and inspiration are our goal.”

Full speech at the link https://www.iwuorg.com/russkij-yazyk-kak-osnova-edinstva-i-podderzhka-yazykovogo-raznoobraziya/
Based on the report of K.G. Landa, (Doctor of Political Sciences. An expert of the International Discussion Club “VISION 3000”). Topic: “The metropolitan metropolis as a trend maker of intercultural and interethnic relations.”
Key issues:
Stereotypes and ignorance of cultures:
Some Muscovites still have prejudices against other ethnic groups (confirmed by a study by M.I. Seredina: 48% of respondents are against the creation of centers of national cultures).
Negative information background: provocative publications in the media and social networks (“Crusade”, myths about the demands of migrants) exacerbate ethnic tensions.
Behavior of visitors:
Young people from the regions sometimes behave casually, feeling impunity.
Perception of Moscow as an “unfriendly” city due to migration policies and double standards of law enforcement agencies (especially in relation to Caucasians).
Weak integration:
Lack of knowledge about the culture of other nations in schools and society.
Lack of representation of national minorities in culture, media and cinema.
Recommendations:
To restore the role of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Dagestan under the President of the Russian Federation for mediation in the adaptation of migrants and conflict resolution.
To intensify intercultural dialogue:
To hold events for working youth.
To introduce lessons on interethnic interaction in schools (within the framework of the subject “Conversations about important things”).
Promote minority representation:
Ensure their participation in culture, media and cinema, avoiding bias towards one ethnic group.
Collaborate with media and bloggers:
The Moscow Department of National Policy should create a positive information background and combat stereotypes.
Invest in culture:
Expand festivals, forums, and educational projects to strengthen mutual understanding (1 ruble invested in culture saves 50 rubles on solving social problems).
Result:
Moscow, as the capital of a multipolar world, should become a benchmark for harmonious interethnic interaction. The implementation of the recommendations will help reduce tensions, strengthen civic unity and position the city as a global cultural center.

Working with young people: Case tours become the start for independent projects of the participants.
Results:
500+ participants in 3 years.
Top 200 guides of the exhibition “Russia”.
Victory in the contest “Faces of the district-2024” and recognition at the Forum of national achievements.

The uniqueness of the project:
Personal narrative: The Tverskoy-Yamsky Streets area is not just a location, but part of the author’s biography.
Synthesis of epochs: From Art Nouveau to the Soviet legacy, all layers of history become the basis for dialogue with young people.
Creativity instead of criticism: The focus is on finding inspiration in everyday life, not on flaws.
Quote:
“Local history is not a history lesson, but a dialogue with a place where the past becomes a resource for the future.”
#Creative Local studies #Tverskeyamskiye #Moskvad for youth
P.S. The project proved that even in “non-paraded” areas, you can find cultural codes that unite generations and inspire creativity.

The synergy of creativity and volunteerism
Volunteers help at Fashion Week and hand-made fairs.
Example: pensioners from the Moscow Longevity sew costumes for creative projects.
Personal experience
Nadezhda Lebedeva organized 55+ Model Theater as part of the Moscow Longevity:
The participants stage musicals, create costumes, and participate in screenings.
• Social impact: health promotion, intergenerational ties, realization of creative potential.

Create regional versions of the Moscow model.
To develop “silver” volunteering in each region.
Implement educational programs on entrepreneurship and digital skills.
Support interregional grants at the intersection of creativity and volunteerism.
