On May 15-16, 2026, the Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) hosted the photo exhibition “Mother and Children in National Costumes” as part of the V International Etiquette Forum. The exhibition, organized by the International Women’s Union, aroused great interest among both the guests and the organizers of the forum, who highly appreciated its significance and the impressive visual embodiment of the idea of the unity of peoples.
A world-class exhibition
The exhibition presented at RUDN University has a rich history and international recognition. In 2024, the same exhibition was shown with great success at the UN Office in Vienna on the occasion of Russian Language Day, where it caused a huge response from the international community.
The international photo contest “Mom and children in national costumes” has been held for the 7th year (since 2019). In 2024-2025, the project was held under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO with the support of the Federal Agency for Nationalities (FADN of Russia). In 2026, declared the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, the competition continues its mission to preserve cultural heritage and strengthen traditional family values, and the exhibition at the RUDN University was another vivid confirmation of this.

The International Women’s Union became the official partner of the V International Etiquette Forum, which was held at RUDN University on May 15-16, 2026 and brought together experts in the field of etiquette, business communication and protocol.
The organizers were the International Association of Etiquette and Communication Consultants (IACPEC) and the Center for Continuing Professional Education of the Faculty of Philology of the RUDN University. The theme of the forum is “Russia: the connection of epochs, peoples, and generations.”
