Since ancient times, clothing has played an important role in human life. Its primary function was protection from bad weather, aggressive environment and external factors.

In the modern world it is not necessary to protect yourself from the cold as before: we are saved by public transport, a private car or a heated house. In the heat, you can hide under the air conditioner.
The original meaning has not lost the composition of clothing, and not a little important for this is the property of the material.
Today, there is no such urgent need, and the main function of clothing has gone into the background. Her life began to play with new colors. With its help, they began to demonstrate their social status and prosperity.

Let’s start our tour of modern fabrics, and the first will be the most elegant, beautiful, delicate and light material – silk.

Silk is a soft fabric made from threads extracted from the cocoon of a silkworm. Initially, silk was extracted only in China, and it was one of the important goods transported to Europe via the silk road. The great silk road is a caravan road that was built in the second century BC and connected East Asia with the Mediterranean in ancient times and in the Middle ages. The silk road takes its name from its main purpose – the import of silk from China.
Currently, China remains the largest silk producer – about 50 % of the world’s production. India produces about 15 % of the world’s silk, Uzbekistan is third-about 3%, followed by Brazil – about 2.5. significant producers are also Iran, Thailand and Vietnam.

Besides the fact that silk is very light, comfortable and beautiful, it is also natural. This fabric contributes to the body’s climate control with the environment: it warms in cool weather and cools in heat. The hypoallergenic material allows people to wear things even with the most sensitive skin. In addition to all the advantages, silk has a healing effect and an energetically significant role: Eastern peoples have a belief that the aura can be cleaned with silk. Also, for example, if the neck is blown or the arm is pulled, you can tie a silk scarf, and it will become easier.

We are for natural materials and silk is no exception. It is used for making shawls, dresses, skirts, men’s/women’s shirts and suits, and much more. Silk is increasingly used in decor by well-off people, despite the difficult production.

It is worth noting that eco-silk or acetate silk have absolutely no common properties with natural-these are artificially created fibers that can be safely attributed to synthetic polyester.

Boutique Atelier BellaVita cares about the health of its visitors and that is why it uses only natural materials when tailoring products.

Take care of yourself and your style, be beautiful.
