A meeting of the International Discussion Club “VISION 3000” was held in Moscow: “Traditional values as the basis of national security”

Moscow, May 27, 2025 – The International Discussion Club “VISION 3000” held an expert meeting on a topical topic: “Traditional values as the basis of national security: protection of historical memory and spiritual sovereignty.” The event, which brought together leading experts in the fields of history, politics, culture, national security and international relations, was timed to coincide with the Year of Defender of the Fatherland in Russia and the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.

In the context of globalization, digitalization and geopolitical turbulence, threatening cultural uniqueness and rewriting history, the meeting participants emphasized: Traditional values are the foundation of national security, the connecting thread of generations and the guarantor of the spiritual independence of Russia and other sovereign states.

Key theses and conclusions of the meeting:

1. “DNA of the Nation”: It is unanimously recognized that historical memory, family, religious and cultural foundations are the core of national identity. Their weakening or destruction leads to a deep crisis of statehood. The participants called for the systemic integration of traditional values into educational programs and public discourse.
2. Defending the Truth about Victory: In the year of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, special attention was paid to countering the falsification of history. The need for active protection of historical truth in the media space and education as the basis of spiritual sovereignty and national security was emphasized. The lessons of the unity of the peoples of the USSR are recognized as an actual example for modern challenges.
3. Spiritual Sovereignty vs Globalization: Experts discussed the threats of cultural colonization and ways to preserve uniqueness in the era of mass culture. The importance of legislative measures, educational work and the use of the “soft power” of traditions to strengthen the international influence of Russia and other countries defending their values was noted.

   

4. The Digital Age: Risks and Opportunities: The participants discussed the phenomenon of “digital vandalism” and the need to regulate the media space to protect historical memory. The possibilities of digital tools and social networks (as powerful communication channels) for popularizing traditional values and educating society on critical information assessment are discussed. The role of AI is assessed in two ways: as a potential threat and as an assistant in preserving and broadcasting the cultural code.
5. Political Traditions and Global Experience: The meeting confirmed the importance of integrating traditional values into the state ideology, finding a balance between openness and protection of identity. The possibilities of international cooperation (including the experience of Serbia and the BRICS countries) are considered in joint projects for the preservation of historical memory. The special mission of Russia as the guardian of a multipolar world and sovereignty of values was emphasized.
6. Practical Aspects: The role of financial literacy as an element of family stability and tradition, the importance of the cultural code in creative projects for international influence, as well as the features of the Russian management model based on cultural heritage are discussed.

“In the face of modern challenges, turning to our roots, to the wisdom of our ancestors and the heroic pages of history is not conservatism, but a strategic resource for the stability and development of the nation, the basis of its spiritual sovereignty and national security,” said Alfiya Amirova, moderator of the meeting.

After an intense discussion, the participants of the event immersed themselves in active networking. In an atmosphere of lively exchange of ideas, representatives of the regions, experts and women leaders discussed joint projects, shared contacts and outlined ways of cooperation.
