On June 7 and 8, 2023, the Moscow House of Nationalities hosted the Annual Festival of National Cultures “Polychrome of Russia”, dedicated to Russia Day and the 25th anniversary of the Moscow House of Nationalities. The festival is one of the largest projects of the Moscow State Budgetary Institution “Moscow House of Nationalities”. The project started on June 9, 2011.
Within the framework of the Festival, on June 7, a round table “Multicolored Russia: traditions and prospects of Interregional cooperation” was held.
The moderator was V.S. Golovachev, member of the Public Council at the Moscow House of Nationalities, head of the Moscow branch – Chairman of the Management Board of the Karelian Commonwealth NGO; Chairman of the Public Council of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Karelia to the President of the Russian Federation.

President of the International Women’s Union – Alfiya Amirova took part in the round table and spoke on the topic “Preservation and popularization of cultures and traditions of the peoples of Russia” on the example of the International Women’s Union projects.
“The regional public organization “International Women’s Union”, within the framework of the “Strategy of the State National Policy of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025”, holds the International Festival of Handicrafts and Crafts “By the hands of a woman” and the International photo Contest “Mother and children in national costumes”, aimed at preserving and popularizing the cultures and traditions of the peoples of Russia……
… The essence of the projects is to offer people an alternative to the street and the dominance of negative content coming from outside social networks. Replace it with the positive preservation of human traditional values, nepotism, preserving national and cultural
identity…. An important component of our projects is the rapprochement of national cultures and values, the formation of the spirit of patriotism and solidarity between ethnic groups,” Alfiya Amirova said.
The round table was attended by leading scientists, government and public figures. Issues related to topical issues of preserving the unique cultural palette of our multinational country were discussed.
This year, the Festival gathered in the hospitable walls of the institution participants of the past years — representatives of the Tver region, Crimea, Altai Republic, Irkutsk region, Republic of Karelia, Komi-Perm Krai, republics of the North Caucasus.
The culmination of the Festival was a festive gala concert, which was attended by creative teams and performers from different republics and the city of Moscow.
Alfiya Amirova and Asia Biskup (Vice President of the International Women’s Union) attended the gala concert and noted the high level of preparation and holding of the Festival.
