The meeting was opened by Amirova Alfiya, President of the International Women’s Union, President of the International Discussion Club VISION 3000.
Spiritual and moral values have been one of the foundations of the development of Russian statehood throughout the history of our country. The preservation and strengthening of traditional spiritual and moral values is one of the priorities for today.
Traditional values are life, dignity, human rights and freedoms, patriotism, citizenship, service to the Fatherland and responsibility for its fate. They also include high moral ideals, a strong family, creative work, the priority of the spiritual over the material, historical memory and the continuity of generations, as well as the unity of the peoples of Russia.
The situation in Russia and in the world is assessed as requiring urgent measures to protect traditional values. The International Women’s Union implements projects that imply the strengthening of traditional values.
One of such projects is the International photo contest “Mother and children in national costumes”. The photo contest is being held for the 5th time and the 5th anniversary photo contest is being held under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO with the support of the Federal Agency for Nationalities of Russia and the Moscow Branch of the Russian Geographical Society.

It is a great honor for us to participate in the meetings organized by the VISION 3000 club, which, fortunately, can already be called traditional.
Today we are talking about traditions and spiritual and moral values, their key importance in the healthy functioning of the body of modern Russian society.
Ossetia honors and preserves its traditions, but modern reality makes significant adjustments, unfortunately, often destructive.
It is easy to blame innovations for creating the sad picture that we are witnessing, but I am sure that the audience will agree that instead of rejecting innovations, we must find ways to wrap them into a useful, practical tool and make them our powerful advantage.
The measures that should be applied in working on this problem should be decisive, clear, constructive, clearly verified, but executed in the most delicate and accurate way.
There is no doubt that the valuable information that we will hear from the speakers here will be the confident step that brings us closer to achieving our goal. We must walk along this path together with a positive attitude. I am grateful to the organizers for choosing such a topical topic.
