On June 16, a panel discussion was held by the international discussion club of the Eurasian Association of women Regional leaders on the topic “Digitalization of work processes. Transformation of women’s employment during the pandemic, in the post-pregnancy period”

Participants from different countries and cities shared their experience and effective solutions to support women, talked about the remote format of work and the digitalization of industries, about the difficulties they had to face during the pandemic.

Veronika Peshkova, Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), opened the meeting: “Today, the women’s agenda is being discussed at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization as a specialized agency of the United Nations, and women’s participation in business in the digital economy is being discussed as one of the most striking topics. 70% of the world’s investments go towards information and computer technologies. The agenda of women’s participation in the digital economy and the acquisition of the necessary digital skills is one of the components of the project, which is currently being implemented jointly with UNIDO and the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum. The UNIDO project-a global platform for the development of women’s economic rights, entrepreneurship and leadership was launched back in 2016, and in 2019, an official agreement emphasized the partnership between UNIDO and the Council of the Eurasian Women’s Forum. Within the framework of the project, an international network of contacts of women leaders around the world is being created.”

According to Veronika Peshkova, the Russian Federation today is one of the leaders in the number of women leaders, 41% of leadership positions are held by women here.

“Now we are living in a difficult time of the coronavirus pandemic, and all the difficulties that were discussed both these days and the day before also affected our women. Our women have learned to live in the new time, to find solutions. Today, on the sidelines of the IT Forum, we are talking about information platforms that women have resorted to and have been reformatted to meet the conditions of the new reality,” added Alfiya Pavkina, Chairman of the Council of the Union “Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Khanty – Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Ugra”, President of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Ugra.

The President of the “International Women’s Union” – Amirova Alfiya made a report on the topic: “Business platform “Woman of the third Millennium”. Alfyai Amirova shared her experience of working during the pandemic, how they coped, what role digitalization played during the pandemic in the work of the organization.”

Within the framework of the event, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Ugra signed cooperation agreements with the Business Women’s Assistance Fund of Armenia and with the International Women’s Union (Moscow) to support women entrepreneurs of small and medium – sized businesses.

“We began to select industry platforms for export. For example, when we went to Ugra, we held several meetings, studied the region and offered sites that are connected specifically with the oil and gas service. Geographical and profile association of sites give the maximum effect. You should always understand that you can expand your business with the help of electronic trading platforms, “Larisa Manicheva, founder of the POLINAEXPERT club, chairman of the Center for Exporters of the Leningrad Region, shared her experience in selecting export platforms.

Natalia Ivanova, head of the Association of Women Leaders of Digital Transformation, Director of IPR MEDIA Group: “The task of our Association is to become a provider of various existing training programs for women through its own cases in order to bring a person from informing and drawing up an educational strategy to a specific result. I work with about 400 universities, I have accumulated a lot of professional contacts, and therefore our projects are being implemented quickly. We see that both universities and those who implement large mass programs are ready to participate. And we are ready to invest in accompanying and giving this lucky ticket to the figure. It is important for us that people go to study in order to take their place in the digital economy.”

Lilia Gevorgyan, Chairman of the Business Women’s Assistance Fund of Armenia, spoke about the problems of women entrepreneurs in Armenia: “Women entrepreneurs in Armenia, as in many countries, are a relatively new phenomenon. However, women’s entrepreneurship is becoming more and more confident every day. The importance and significance of the problem that unites us is obvious. And this is connected not only with our personal affairs, business, families, but also with the huge economic, political and social contribution that women’s thought, women’s energy, women’s work can make to the common cause of the development of our countries. Mostly women in Armenia work in the sphere of medium and small businesses, in the social sphere, organize services, home work, provide services, produce products and goods.”
