Today we received a letter from the President of the AFAEMME Association ( of which we are members).
MARIA HELENA DE FELIPE LEHTONEN addressed the members of the Association. We offer you excerpts from the letter:
“Dear Members and friends,
I hope that you and your family feel well at this time of serious crisis. With the spread of COVID-19 around the world, all of our members have undergone an unimaginable test. He reminded us that our involvement is global and we must be interconnected among all AFAEMME members. Together, we can contribute to resolving this crisis and act responsibly, in the spirit of the Mediterranean, what moves us…….
As you know, the Spanish Government has declared ALARM STATE in Spain, and the cancelation of many business activities. In AFAEMME, as in all the institutions, we are already noticing the impact of this crisis, some activities have been cancelled that we should attend; but we are not diminishing our work, but taking advantage to identify new projects and development new ideas by the time all finished……
From AFAEMME, we want to make our platform available to our members, which will surely help foster cooperation and coordinated action between Mediterranean entities and the global business community….
I firmly believe that we must be positive, even in these circumstances. We are convinced of our ability to overcome obstacles, this must be our objective. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but together we can meet this challenge.
Finally, I want to express my wish that you and yours will be well.
